Secluded amongst the boulders, Mowani ‘s guest rooms are a testament to the surroundings, where a sense of elegance and earthiness prevails. Winner of an architectural eco-design award in Germany, the organic nature of the design is felt through the camp.
Colours, textures and comforts envelope you, while the vaulted cathedral like thatched ceilings are Africa’s way of paying homage to nature.
Mowani offers 13 en-suite rooms with views across the valley or hill top vistas and 2 luxury suites, with open-air bathrooms, a
spacious lounge and deck for enjoying meals in peaceful seclusion.
There are also 7 campsites with stunning views across the valley and private ablution facilities.
Rooms and Facilities
SUPERIOR & SUPERIOR VIEW ROOMS : 12 Twin bedded (can be converted into a King bed) rooms with thatched roofs and en-suite facilities. View rooms face west with a panoramic distant view while standard rooms face to the east or northeast and have a view into a boulder-strewn valley.
1 double-bedded, thatched room with partly canvas walls, en-suite facilities and a mini bar (drinks excluded).
MINI SUITE : A luxury, thatched suite with a lounge equipped with air-conditioning, a satellite television, a double room with en-suite bathroom, a laundry service and minibar (drinks included). Special offers available for longer stays!

Activities available at Mowani Mountain Camp
Mowani’s local guides share with their guests an intimate knowledge and respect for the land that they have built up over a lifetime. With new insight into local traditions, you will come to fully appreciate the geology, botany and wildlife of the area. Local villagers are welcoming and keen to share their experiences.
NOTE : If you book the 2 night Full Board Package then 2 activities are included free of charge in your stay. DBB guests may add activities at the prices below.
Visits to Twyfelfontein (click to read up more), with its wealth of ancient rock engravings, and the wonders of the Organ Pipes and Petrified Forest are within easy driving distance of Mowani/Kipwe. (+/- 2 hours in the afternoon) : ZAR 310 per person
Elephant and Dune drives (+/- 4-6 hours in the morning) to explore the area with your knowledgeable guide - searching for the rare desert adapted Elephants : ZAR 620 per person
Nature walks in the areas surrounding the camp to explore the smaller details of the bush up close and personal : ZAR 160 per person
Lounging by the pool, or relaxing on your private deck is also a wonderful ways to enjoy the spectacular surroundings.
