Fiume Bush Camp
Fiume Bush Camp is situated 75 km north east of Grootfontein on the D2844. Spread over a small Kalahari dune, the Bush Camp overlooks a pan in the middle of the bush.
Modern amenities like Internet, Wi-Fi, TV, Air-conditioning and a large swimming pool are not available at Fiume Bush Camp; we want our guests to experience the bush and nature in all its glory. We do, however, have basic electricity for lights in the tents and to charge cameras and cellphones.
At Fiume Bush Camp, we want you to experience how life must have been for the San/Bushmen in the past.
Fiume Bush Camp does have a small plunge pool for guests to relax in.
Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner are served under the canopy of Tamboti trees or under the Lapa. At night, we have a circle around a big crackling camp fire where we invite you to share stories and experiences from your travels in Namibia.
Tsumkwe, situated in the northern Kalahari in the Nyae Nyae conservancy, is an ideal adventurous starting point to reach the Zambezi (Caprivi) Region via Khaudom National Park as well as Botswana via the Dobe border post to experience the famous Okavango-Delta. Visitors with a car can also easily reach the lodge via Grootfontein.
The rustic lodge is situated 2 km from the settlement centre. 22 twin cabins are arranged on the spacious premises linking up with the camping sites and the restaurant-lapa.
The large outdoor shaded boma is the ideal place for special events, cultural entertainment and delicious meals prepared over the BBQ by experienced chefs.
Camping is available.
Nhoma Safari Camp is a small activity orientated, tented camp, situated in the north eastern corner of Namibia on state-owned land within the traditional area of the Ju/’hoan San or Bushmen (as they are commonly known in Namibia).
It borders the Nyae Nyae and Nna Jaqna Conservancies. Tourism allows the community to earn cash in order to buy food and supplies not provided by the surrounding environment.
Activities offered at the camp ranges from hunting with the Bushmen hunters, veld food collection, the making of hunting equipment to traditional games and the healing dances. When conditions are suitable a short night drive is undertaken to view springhare and look for other nocturnal animals.
A visit to Nhoma Safari Camp will destroy the stereotype image people have of Bushmen and replace it with a more realistic view as well as amazement for the skills and knowledge lost by modern man.
