This itinerary can be shortened or lengthened to your requirements and is available in camping or accommodated formats
The route has been selected so as not to involve any technical 4x4 driving.
DAY 1 & 2 : MAUN
Today you will arrive in Maun, the gateway to the Okavango Delta and Moremi National Park. A transfer will be arranged to your accommodation and you will have the afternoon to relax. An evening sunset boat cruise is an option.
We recommend an early start the following morning so you can take a guided drive into Moremi National Park where you will be transported by a professional Botswana guide in a open sided game viewing vehicle. Other options would be a day trip by boat into the Okavango Delta.

DAY 3 & 4 : MAKGADIGADI /NXAI PANS
Today you will receive your hire vehicle and drive the short distance on good roads to the Pans.
On the western edge of the pans there is good game viewing all year round, and the lodges offer a variety of guided game excursions, birdwatching etc
DAY 5,6 & 7 : CHOBE NATIONAL PARK
Today you will drive north to the famous Chobe River and National Park. Chobe National Park, in northwest Botswana, has one of the largest concentrations of game in Africa. By size, it is the third largest park of the country, after the Central Kalahari Game Reserve and the Kgalgadi National Park, and is the most diverse. It is also the country's first national park.This afternoon you can enjoy a sunset cruise on the Chobe River.An early start the following morning takes you on an organised Game Drive into Chobe National Park. The afternoon is free and at leisure. Optional extra game drives and boat cruises are available.
Being so close you could take a side trip to Victoria Falls.
DAY 8 & 9 : CAPRIVI EAST (NAMIBIA)
Bwabwata Game Reserve extends 170km through the Caprivi Strip and was formerly known as the Caprivi Game Park. It is an area rich in wildlife with elephant, buffalo, hippos, crocs and many antelope. Birding in Bwabwata is fantastic with over 300 different bird species recorded in the area. Most lodges in the area offer game drive activities, game cruises on the Kwando River, Fishing, mokoro excursions and cultural village visits as well as birding and guided nature walks.
The majority of lodges have on site camping as well as lodge rooms.
DAY 10 & 11 : CAPRIVI WEST (NAMIBIA)
Popular activities in the area include boat cruise, mokoro (dug out canoe) excursions, game drives in Mahangu and Bwabwata National Park, birding activities and cultural village visits. Most lodges in this region also have camping sites so cater for all budgets.
DAY 12 & 13 - OKAVANGO PANHANDLE (BOTSWANA)
Finally after your short drive and adventures though Namibia, you return to Botswana and the Pan Handle of the Okavango Delta. We can offer a choice of day trips or overnight camping mokoro trails that take you into the heart of the Okavango, or simply relax and enjoy a scenic boat cruise or fishing excursion.
DAY 14 : TOUR ENDS - MAUN BOTSWANA
Today you will drive south and return to Maun for your onward journey.
There are daily flights to Johannesburg from Maun with South African Airways
